Studio Rules
Welcome to Studio Tomo!
At Studio Tomo, we like to keep things easy, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.
Respect the Space (and Each Other)
Please clean up after yourself and handle all tools, equipment, and materials with care. Shared spaces are for everyone, so be mindful of noise, movement, and common areas.
Please respect other people’s tools and equipment, do not use or take them without permission.
If you accidentally damage any tools, equipment, or someone else’s work, let us know. Accidents happen, we’d just like to know early so we can fix things.
Food and Drinks
Please keep all food and drinks away from wheels, workstations, and glaze areas. Covered drinks are fine if kept safely aside.
Strictly no food waste in the studio, please bring it out and dispose of it outside.
Handling Works in Progress
Be careful not to touch or move anyone else’s work — especially pieces that are drying or waiting to be fired, as they’re extremely fragile.
Materials, Storage, and Expiry
To keep everything running smoothly:
- If you wish to bring your own clay or materials, please check with us first.
- Always label your pieces clearly with your name.
- Unclaimed or unlabeled pieces may be cleared after 8 weeks.
Firing and Fees
We fire pieces made with studio-approved materials and techniques. Firing is charged separately, and rates depend on the size of your basket:
- $95 for a normal-sized basket
- $200 for a large basket
If your pieces can’t fit into a single basket, please contact us, we’ll advise you on how to proceed.
